Wateen’s biggest drawback are its very poor idea of franchises. Wateen franchised outlests and people at the UAN are never in-synch, they guide the customer in opposite directions.
And then when you go visiting the franchise yourself staff their is very unfriendly, it is my first had experience. I went to terminate my wateen account today and the franchise (Honest communications, chundrigar road , Karachi) they talked to me like I was asking for charity.

Nothing seems to be easier than seeing someone whom you can help but not helping.
I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.

Wateen’s Poor Management in Pakistan.

At 13th of Nov 2009 wateen’s sales department staff came to my Residence to deliver the USB device that I applied for, Along with them they bring a wifi modem too, but I told them I applied for USB not for wifi modem, I have a tablet pc and it does not have a DVD-ROM, So they handed me the USB device and told me sir please install the software and connect the USB and enjoy wateen’s internet. Next day I install the software and when I connect the USB the service was very poor only 20% signals the device was receiving although it require at least 50% signal to run a wireless internet via USB after seeing such poor reception I called wateen’s office and ask them that I want to return this device and want to get a wifi modem with outer antenna. The operator told me, please contact wateen customer care center. That is located at Hamilton court building Clifton Karachi and office timings are 9.00 am to 9.00 pm Monday to Saturday.

At morning of 17th Nov 2009, At 9.00 pm I reached to wateen’s customer care center , There was no one except a security guard, so I asked the guard what are the timings he replied 9.00am to 9.00 pm. I said but here is no one, he replied in Urdu (sahib yahan ka staff nawab loog hain 11 bajay say phelay koi nahe atta) means (The office staff of this office they are lord and they arrive every day late not before then 11.00 am.

Then I, sat there and kept waiting for the person in concern to arrive so I will return the device and discuss regarding the wifi modem and outer antenna after waiting 1 hour 45 minutes the concerned person arrived to the office, I went to him told him my problem regarding the USB signals and I asked him that I want to change the USB device with wifi modem and outer antenna. Then officer in concern replied to me that we will provide you wifi modem but we’ll not give you outer antenna, so I told him without outer antenna the system will not receive signals he bluntly replied that is not our head ache. Although 3 relatives of mine was having same problem with wateen’s connection when they complain to wateen’s head office their problem was solved by fixing an outer antenna. but wateen customer care officer refused me regarding the outer antenna , I was not having any other option I filled the customers claim form and return back the USB device and ask the officer when I come and collect the check , he replied after 15 days .

Then same evening I compose a complain email regarding the wateen’s customer care center and send that to wateen’s CEO Pakistan Mr. Tariq Malik.

After sending that email very next day I received a call from Mr. Malik’s office and they asked me what as happened. I told the lady on phone the whole matter and she replied Sir if we will provide you wifi with outer antenna so you want to continue with wateen . I replied to her yes she said ok we’ll contact you soon. Same day in afternoon I received second call from wateen’s head office and they said we arranged the outer antenna do you want to continue with wateen. I replied yes. Next day another call came from wateen’s office, located in dawood chamber’s Karachi they asked me you still want to continue with wateen if we provide you outer antenna I said yes. again same day at around 5.00 pm a lady called me from dawood chamber’s wateen office and she said sir when you want the person to come and fix your wifi modem with outer antenna I replied any time after 9.00 am till 12.00 am , she said ok I will send the person in 1 hour . But all in vain no one came. I waited 3 more days then I took another companies connection and it is working perfectly without any signal problems.

On 2nd December 2009 , I called wateen’s head office to inquire about my refund check the operator connected me to a lady and she said you have to wait more 15 days to get back your amount and we’ll send that to you by postal mail. Yesterday I called wateen’s head office again regarding my refund amount check the person on phone told me you have go to Hamilton court branch office of wateen, your check has been sent there.

Today is 16th December 2009 around 4.30 pm I been to wateen’s Hamilton court customer care center/office to get my refund check but they said your check is not arrived yet. And I found out so many customers there who came to collect their refund amount check one of them said I applied for refund 2 months ago another said I applied for refund two and a half month ago but we haven’t got any refund yet.

I request management of wateen Pakistan and waridtelecom’s. Chairman His Highness Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan please kindly improve your systems otherwise wateen will loose all his customers in Pakistan because of mismanagement.

i just want to warn you all, dat plz dont buy any thing from this guy, adnan, who is giving his number above in comments, he is just a fraud, a lier,
there is no , 15 days money back guarantee from wateen, this guy claims every where that wateen will return all the initial amount which was 3100 in my case,
there were no good signals, but thus guy said me, that u check this for 15 days, at any time, u want to return the device, u will get full amount back,
but when the 2nd day, when i wished to returned device, that guy just kept me telling stories, dat m coming in 1 day,today, tomorrow,in 2 mins, etc,but never came
and when disappointly i went to wateen frunchise, i came to knw dat wateen has no such policy,
once the account is activated,there is no money back thing,
and this guy just told lie to me, just to make his sales commission,
and i returned device now, with half price, and with 10 days tension juzt because of this guys cheat,
