Sheikh Rashid of Dubai buys first supersonic private jet for $80M

I’m sorry, Ok!? I know this one is a bit off topic, but I am hostage to my aviation aficionado sensibilities. The Aerion is a private jet which travels at a brisk Mach 1.6 and will get Sheikh Rashid from Dubai to London in a little over 3 hours. The price: a mere $80M.

Previously, billionaires like Larry Ellison had to resort to obtaining special permissions from the government to buy a short range, uncomfortable, and highly impractical Mig jet. Well, now he has something to upgrade to! More pictures and a video after the break.

The Aerion’s interior isn’t all that shabby. Prince Al-Waleed of Saudi Arabia may have the bigger A380, but Sheikh Rashid can now look forward to running rings around him!

Understood from Quran:
Similar things were said by people who watched Qaroon (the richest of his time) when he walked out to streets with all his pride. Few people envy at him and prey for similar from God. The other day when he was doomed the same people regretted their wishes and prayers.

Someone having all the good of this world is not necessarily a chosen one from God.

Dears, the name of Dubai’s Ruler is H.H sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum wich means that he is the son of the LATE Sheikh Rashid.

He may not enjoy the ride – at cruising altitude all he will see is dark sky…. But why is he in a hurry to reach London in a narrow tube? He can have heavenly fun on a cruise ship…

Sheikh Rashid passed away in 1990, it will be a bit hard to deliver him the jet to where he is now.

This plane was bought by Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid al-Nuaimi – (aka RRR!)

He is the son of the the leader of Ajman, another of the United Arab Emirates and he’s the head of planning
