My screen went blank and I had to claim the warranty. The technical dept of makarts were kind enough to get my warranty claim within 2 days. Finding that kind of service in Pakistan is hard to beleive but I was lucky otherwise I was thinking it sending it to USA. keep it up guys.. I think there is serious issue as I believe MAKARTS did not purchase this Latitude D630 through Dell Pakistan official channel. It was bought from a third country and that is the main reason you are facing problem. We, Megaplus Pakistan has sold thousands of Dell Laptops and can manage their warranty within 2-7 working days in Pakistan. There is a Dell Parts Exchange Hub in Korangi Karachi where Dell has invested few Million dollars in Parts inventory. However if you buy your laptop from any reseller who does not provide 'OFFICIAL WARRANTY CARD' of Dell then obviously you can't claim Dell Pakistan for the problems and warranty support. However if you have bought the notebook from legitimate channel in Pakistan then there is no way you will not get warranty covered. Problem is that lot of resellers buy new/refurbished Notebooks from Dell USA, UK and Dubai and sell them with so called 'International Warranty'. Let me clarify that 'International warranty' means whenever there is a problem in your laptop they will have to send it back to Dubai, USA or UK and get it repaired. On top of this in most cases they repair them locally. You can now understand why it takes ages to fix your notebooks. Further, someone posted that he couldn't buy Inspiron from Pakistan. That is true, consumer products of Dell i.e. Inspiron, Studio, XPS etc were not available in Pakistan officially and thus were imported through Grey-Channel. However, now its officially available in Pakistan and you can buy them with 1 year warranty.
