Dear Readers,

You may have noticed a few changes around here. The most obvious one is that the look and feel has changed. Since inception, almost two and a half years ago, we stuck to a very spartan look which I personally have grown tired of. So, we decided to change things up a bit – add a little bit of the old national green and mix it in with other visual engagement. We hope you like it, or at the very least, find it tolerable.

The other big change is that we’ve finally graduated from wordpress.com, the free hosting service, and moved to a dedicated domain. This means we will have a lot more flexibility in embedding more features and plugins which the previous service did not allow. Hopefully, this will mean good things for the reader community. We certainly don’t wan to go crazy enabling every possible new feature immediately, but over time, you will see more enhancements.

If you search for TechLahore story on Google, the old wordpress URLs will show up until Google has an opportunity to re-crawl the new site. However, you can click on the old URLs as each old story has been mapped to its new location on techlahore.com. All the old entries should still show. If you try surfing on over to techlahore.wordpress.com – the old domain – it should redirect you to techlahore.com. The old site is now out of commission and we didn’t want to deal with two parallel sites and a divided audience. If it doesn’t work for you, please let us know.

Finally, you see a few ads on the site. Now and then, please feel free to click on those you find interesting. While TechLahore very much remains a non-commercial venture, there are costs associated with hosting etc. and we are believers in Sustainable Development :-)
